There are some fabulous raffle prizes, so please pop into Anytime Fitness and purchase some tickets.

💗💗LET’S PINK UP THE PARKRUN! 💗💗

This Saturday (10th), the Whyalla Foreshore parkrun is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Wellness Sisters will be out in full force walking and pinking up the course!

What to wear: Your brightest PINK gear! Let’s fill the foreshore with a sea of pink.

Shuestring Brew have been kind enough to bring their coffee van down for us from 7:00 AM! Show them some love and grab a coffee while you are there. We are looking forward to having lots of you stay afterwards for a coffee and chat under the fig tree!

⏰ The Timeline:
• 7:00 AM: Shuestring Brew coffee van will be there for those needing an early caffeine fix!
• 7:50 AM: First Timers Briefing (essential if you're new!)
• 8:00 AM: Parkrun starts!

We’ve loved having the Kiwi girls in our corner throughout the 2026 season! 🩷

From ordering their pink bibs and wearing them when they took on their sister team, to running fundraisers within the club and getting right behind our Women’s Wellness Round at Whyalla Netball — they’ve certainly shown their support for Wellness Sisters!

We’re so grateful to the Whyalla Visitor Centre Visit Whyalla for getting behind Wellness Sisters during October. They’ll be selling Wellness Sisters t-shirts, with 20% from every shirt sold coming directly to us. 🥰

They’re taking pre-orders now, as some sizes aren’t currently in stock and they’ll be putting an order through very soon. They are available in black and pink.

So, if you’d like to support us and grab yourself a shirt, please get in touch with the Visitor Centre ASAP to secure your size.
If you’re unsure about sizing, you can pop out to the Ship Visitor Centre and try one on before ordering.

We were super excited to have our new Wellness Sisters sign go up at the Whyalla Netball Courts last week .... just in time for the Grand Final!

Of course, we had to get a photo out the front — and it wouldn’t have been complete without some Kiwi club girls joining us 🥰
Kiwi Netball Club has been fundraising for Wellness Sisters this season, and we are so incredibly grateful for their support.

We absolutely love having such a big sign proudly displaying our name. We hope it continues to remind people of who we are, and the support we provide to local people impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

A HUGE thank you from the Wellness Sisters💕

Yesterday we held our Father’s Day Stall, and we are absolutely blown away to share that we raised just under $6,500!

Once again, our amazing Whyalla community answered the call. Whenever we hold a fundraiser, you show up in the most incredible way — and yesterday was certainly no exception. We are so incredibly grateful for every person who donated, purchased, shared our fundraiser, or simply stopped by to support us. 💕

We know that almost everyone has been personally touched by cancer in some way — whether through a family member, a friend, or through their own journey. Yesterday, we had the privilege of chatting with some of these beautiful people, hearing their stories and knowing that what we are doing is helping ease the burden.
That is what it’s all about. 💕

Knowing that our fundraising can make a difference, even in the smallest way, fills our hearts and makes every hour of hard work, every late night and every bit of effort completely worthwhile.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Whyalla. You continue to amaze us, support us and remind us just how special our community is.
We couldn’t do it without you.

We were all decked out in our brand-new Wellness Sisters t-shirts yesterday and received some lovely comments on them! 💕

And we have some exciting news… the Whyalla Visitor Centre will be selling these shirts in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with a percentage of the proceeds being donated back to Wellness Sisters. 💗
We will be so excited to see these shirts out in the community and even more excited that they can help raise awareness and support our cause at the same time.

••Wellness Sisters Father’s Day Stall is tomorrow (Thursday 2nd) **

We’ll be at Westlands Shopping Centre tomorrow, ready to go from 9am.

We’ve got lots of goodies for you — our Wellness Sisters cookies, Father’s Day Cookie Boxes, a huge assortment of Slices, Date Loaves, Rocky Road, Cupcakes, and Dairy
/Gluten Free Orange and Almond Cake just to name a few!
We’ll also have Bunnings - Dad’s Nuts n Bolts and Dad’s Big Bucket Cakes. A great Father’s Day gift!
There’ll be candles and other little goodies too, so plenty to have a look at.

We are incredibly grateful to have received $2,500 from the gate takings of this round and generous donations from individual clubs. This amazing contribution will help Wellness Sisters continue supporting local people affected by cancer while also raising awareness of this important cause throughout our community.

WFL Wellness Sisters Round – Final Match

The final match of this year’s WFL Wellness Sisters Round was played at Bennett Oval on Sunday between Centrals and Norths.

It was a close, hard-fought contest, with both sides showing plenty of grit and determination throughout the game. The result wasn’t decided until the final minute, with Centrals taking the lead to secure an exciting 87–83 victory over Norths.

Following the match, Deb Holsman and Megan Travers, on behalf of Wellness Sisters, presented the Lorna Treacey Wellness Sisters Memorial Medal for Best on Ground to Cooper Huish (#27, Centrals) in recognition of his outstanding performance. Congratulations, Cooper!

Wellness Sisters Round – Roopena vs West

Another great game was played as part of this weekend's annual Wellness Sisters Round, with Roopena defeating West by 11 goals.

Congratulations to Elex Day (Roopena), who was awarded the Lorna Treacey Wellness Sisters Memorial Medal, Best on Ground after a standout performance.

A special thank you to Sarah Rudd, who performed the coin toss before the game and later presented the medal to Elex. Sarah proudly represented her mother, Sharon Todd, a much-loved Wellness Sister whose legacy will always be remembered.

Representing Wellness Sisters, Di Head extended a heartfelt thank you to the WFL and all six clubs for their ongoing support and inclusion of the annual Wellness Sisters Round.
We are incredibly grateful for this round which helps Wellness Sisters continue supporting families in our community that have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

Wellness Sisters Round – South v Weeroona Bay

We're excited to share the first of our match highlights from the Whyalla Football League's Wellness Sisters Round.

In this match, South came away with the win over Weeroona Bay, and Jaiden Rodriguez was named Best on Ground. Jaiden received the Lorna Treacey Wellness Sisters Memorial Medal, presented by Andy Treacey.

Karen Casagrande and Glenys Tulett represented Wellness Sisters throughout the day. Glenys officially opened proceedings with the coin toss, while Karen addressed the crowd to thank the Whyalla Football League and its clubs for their support of Wellness Sisters before inviting Andy Treacey to present the medal.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Whyalla Football League, the clubs, players and supporters who are embracing this Wellness Sisters Round and helping raise awareness and funds for our organisation. Your support means so much and helps us continue supporting people in our community.

❤️We were so proud to be part of the Women’s Health Awareness Round at Whyalla Netball yesterday❤️

It was wonderful to work alongside Linsey's Legacy and the Nunyara Aboriginal Health Service team as we came together to raise awareness of breast cancer, gynaecological cancers and bowel cancer. Throughout the day, we provided information, support and guidance to the community, helping to promote the importance of awareness, early detection and screening.

The Wellness Sisters team had plenty of fun painting glitter on faces and hair, applying temporary Pink Ribbon tattoos, and giving away breast cancer bracelets, hair ribbons, balloons and stickers. We apologise to any parents who are still trying to get the glitter out of their children’s hair and trying to scrub off tattoos 😊

We were fortunate to have our local breast care nurse Kate Kroll with us, sharing her expertise on breast health, demonstrating how to check for lumps and discussing mammograms.
As always, the Wellness Sisters team took every opportunity to remind people to check their boobs and be breast aware. 💕

Thank you to the Whyalla Netball Association for this wonderful initiative and for bringing our groups together to promote important health messages within the community. It was a fantastic day, and we were grateful to be part of it. 💕

It is with broken hearts that we have had to say goodbye to our beautiful Wellness Sister Sharon Todd. Sharon was an inspirational woman who brought so much to our group. She had a positive 'Can do' attitude with everything that she did. An infectious motivation to selflessly work for others and a generous heart, second to none. She was a strong, brave and courageous woman whose legacy will never be forgotten.

Thank you for all your hard work in our charity, but most of all, thank you for your friendship. Having known you has enriched our lives and inspired us to be better people.

We send our heart felt sympathy to Colin and all of Sharon's family and friends.
